Anguilla Caribbean Mansion Tour Forest Bay
Welcome to a bay of great (unrealized) potential. Half this
Anguilla bay is lined by abandoned, hurricane-destroyed villas.
Let's see where we are...
The red dot (left) is Forest Bay.
Click to pop up a high-scale map to see how to get there.
Forest Bay's other claim to fame is the popular restaurant Straw Hat.
From the moment you step foot onto Anguilla, you see signs advertising "Straw Hat". They seem to be all over the island.
Why not?
It's a mouth-watering restaurant, with sensational vistas out to St. Martin.
And it's literally on/over the water.
Here's a nice shot of Straw Hat, taken during our round-the-island boat tour...

(Do you have any information on those Anguilla condos behind Straw Hat?)
This shot from our boat tour shows you the "nicer part" of Forest Bay.
Forest Bay
Another area could be even nicer. But right now, it's simply
a long line of abandoned, blown-out Anguilla villas....
It almost feels haunted! In 1995, Hurricane Luis swept through Anguilla,
flattened the island. This part of Forest Bay still hasn't recovered.
What a shame. Take another look at that coastline and the coconut palms.
Anguilla Caribbean villas should be gleaming on that oceanfront!
I'm sure they will again, one day.
