Welcome to the unknown end of Shoal Bay East, Shoal Bay East (West). The Western (also called "Lower") half of the beach is overlooked by many. However, it is equally beautiful, features better wave action, and is complete with glitzy, ritzy Anguilla villas!

Let's see where we are on the island...

Shoal Bay East has been named the nicest beach in the Caribbean, countless times.

Whenever my family and I go to Shoal Bay for a day at the beach, we start at the densly populated Shoal Bay East (East), then, to relax, we head west.

Take all that you know about Shoal Bay East...

Its soft sand which carresses our feet, the blue Atlantic which drifts us out to sea ever so slowly, and the warm sun which beams down and kisses our skin.

Now subtract the "crowds" of the Eastern side.

Calm, relaxed, not better... just different.

Though this is the rather "undiscovered" side of Shoal Bay East, my family and I aren't the first to note this. Each year, more spectacular mansions and Anguilla villas rise out of the sand and hills.

So, if you're a fan of Shoal Bay Beac, and want to avoid the crowds, turn left after your burger and Carib at Ernie's!
