car rental
by: Anonymous

Car rentals are very cheap....with a sub-compact costing about $25/day. It is absolutely essential to exploring the island. We will put 200 miles on our rental in 7 days exploring every nook and cranny we can.

Our hotel pick.......
by: Tim from Windham

My wife and I seem to gravitate towards Sandy ground and Shoal Bay East for the majority of our stays in Anguilla. These are two beaches that are "centrally" located on the island and have everything we love from good food and drink literally on the beach. Ku Hotel is definitely the best bang for the buck in my opinion, offering great amenities and activities all within walking distance of your hotel room. You have Gwen's Reggae Reef, Malakh Day Spa, Kuyah beach bar and restaurant, Uncle Ernies, Meaderimann beach restaurant, Smoothies water sports, snorkeling, boat charter and scuba trips, and a few other great things to do...all within beach strolling distance, and Shoal bay is close enough to everything else.

Car Rental for sure
by: David Lee

Tim,
I concur with Nori's comment about a car rental.

Don't let the proximity to restaurants be the deciding factor to hotel selection. There are SO many great restaurants on the island and there is SO much more to see than just one of the 30+ beaches that a rental car is indispensable and worth every dime.

We used our car daily just to get breakfast from Le Bon Pain. Early morning is a great time to explore. A coffee and almond croissant on a secluded beach all to yourself just can't be beat!

Regards,
Dave
