We pre-arranged with one of the charters (Funtime.com) --- a representative met us at the SXM airport, ferried us and our luggage to their boat, handled the Sint Maarten immigration/customs, and dropped us off at Blowing Point.
When we came back we called the Anguilla office (I think it's an Anguilla company), and they had our billing info on file and ready to go. They apparently work pretty closely with Cap Juluca too --- I think that the C.J. people had to return some guests and didn't want to send their own boat for one family, so they put them on the Funtime boat instead. The C.J. representative actually met us back on Sint Maarten, and I noticed that Cap Juluca and Funtime shared a pair of reserved docks.
I wouldn't hesitate to go this route again. If I could go to Anguilla often enough ("please, Dad?") I'd try Shauna and the others as well, to see how they compare and spread the money a bit, but I heartily recommend Funtime.

The most reliable way is to go to Marigot and take the scheduled puplic ferry. However, there are direct ferries from Juliana airport. Are they reliable? Do the show up? Do they actually depart?....Well after ten years of experience, the best answer is maybe. There were years where we had to hail a cab and head over to Marigot after waiting for the boat. There were years were we went to the Juliana boat and waited at the bar for hours. There was never a time when it went somoothly.
By the way, the return trip from Blowing Point to SXM is typicaly perfect.
