Issue #199, October 2, 2026

Seasons may change elsewhere, but in Anguilla the sunshine never takes a break😎💗🏝

Did you know that the off season is one of our favorite times of the year on-island?

If you love having beaches all to yourself, you already know what we mean 😉💗⛱️

Now’s the perfect time to drift into Anguilla life and float your cares away!

While many businesses take this season to refresh and prepare for the months ahead, plenty of favorites remain open, which means more peace and quiet for you.

Let's jump into what's happening in Anguilla...

A Final Chance for Beach Escape Villa's Special

If you've been dreaming about a few more days of summer in Anguilla, Beach Escape Villa is the kind of place that makes it very easy to stay a little longer.

Set directly on the secluded shores of Sandy Point, Beach Escape is a five-bedroom beachfront villa spread across a main house and guest house.

The setting is wonderfully private, with calm, shallow water stretching out toward the horizon and views across the Caribbean to the mountains of St. Martin.

Inside, the villa has that relaxed but polished beach-house feeling, with a posh kitchen, comfortable living spaces and plenty of room for everyone to spread out.

Outdoors, the tropical gardens, oversized screened-in patios, luxurious couches and beachfront pool make it just as tempting to spend the day outside.

There are thoughtful touches throughout, too, including Apple TV, SONOS and an EVO grill, along with daily housekeeping six days a week and personalized concierge service.

But really, it's the setting that makes Beach Escape what it is. Walk straight from the villa onto the sand, spend the afternoon in the water, settle into a hammock with a book, then watch the sun go down over Sandy Point.

And if you've been waiting for the right excuse to book, this is your last reminder about the current special: book four nights and receive your fifth night free for stays through October 15th.

Five nights on Sandy Point sounds like a pretty good way to ease into October.

Anguilla's True Beach Bars

Anguilla has no shortage of places to grab a drink by the water, but there's something special about a true beach bar. We're talking sandy feet, cold drinks, lunch by the sea, good music and that easygoing island atmosphere that makes you forget what time it is.

We've put together a new guide to some of our favorite true beach bars in Anguilla, from Sandy Ground and Rendezvous Bay to Shoal Bay East and Shoal Bay. These are the places where the beach is very much part of the experience.

Elvis' Beach Bar

Right on the beach in Sandy Ground, Elvis' is a longtime island favorite known for its lively atmosphere, cold drinks, sports, music and the kind of easygoing beach-bar energy that keeps people coming back.

The Sunshine Shack

Set directly on the sand at Rendezvous Bay, Sunshine Shack is all about a relaxed beach day, with fresh seafood, rum punches, music and plenty of sunshine.

Olas Taco Bar & Grill

With its casual beachfront setting and mix of South American, Mexican and Caribbean flavors, Olas has quickly become a favorite spot for lunch, drinks and a laid-back day on Shoal Bay.

And those are just three of the beach bars featured in our guide. We also take a look at The Dune Preserve on Rendezvous Bay, Elodias on Shoal Bay East and Gwen's Reggae Bar & Grill on Shoal Bay.

If we've missed your favorite beach bar, let us know!

Manoah is Getting Ready to Welcome Guests Back

There's something about Shoal Bay East that makes it easy to start looking forward to your next visit before you've even left.

Manoah Boutique Hotel, sitting directly on the sands of Shoal Bay East, is one of those places.

The hotel will reopen for the season on November 1st, bringing its collection of beachfront and oceanview accommodations back to one of Anguilla's most beautiful stretches of coastline.

The 31-room property combines Caribbean-modern design with a touch of French Riviera style. The nine suites in the beachfront Liz Building sit right along the sand, while the larger Deanna Building rises six stories above the property, with oceanview suites overlooking Shoal Bay East.

There's also a pool surrounded by tropical greenery and loungers, giving guests another place to settle in when they're not down on the beach.

And then there's L'Étoile, Manoah's beachfront restaurant, where breakfast, lunch and dinner come with the sound and view of the sea just beyond.

Of course, the biggest draw may simply be the location.

Shoal Bay East stretches for more than two miles, with soft white sand and remarkably clear turquoise water, making it an easy place to spend a morning swimming, an afternoon wandering the shoreline or simply doing absolutely nothing.

With Manoah reopening November 1, it's a good time to start thinking about those first few weeks of the season - when Shoal Bay is beginning to come alive again and the island is settling back into its familiar rhythm.

Start Thinking About Festive Season at Aurora Anguilla

It may still feel like summer in Anguilla, but the holiday season is already starting to take shape at Aurora Anguilla on Rendezvous Bay.

Aurora has released its 2026 Festive Calendar, giving us a first look at what's planned for Christmas and New Year's at Rendezvous Bay.

And if you've ever spent the holidays in Anguilla, you know that celebrating Christmas somewhere surrounded by turquoise water and warm Caribbean breezes feels a little different from celebrating at home.

The festive calendar brings together a full season of dining, entertainment and activities, with something happening for families, couples and groups throughout the holiday period.

There will be special holiday menus, live music and entertainment, family activities, sporting events and plenty of opportunities to enjoy the resort's beautiful setting.

Among the highlights are a Christmas Eve beach barbecue, Christmas dining and celebrations, along with elegant New Year's Eve dinners and a fireworks display to welcome the new year.

And, of course, there's the setting itself.

Imagine spending Christmas Day near the water, enjoying a long holiday meal with the Caribbean just beyond the table, or ringing in the New Year with dinner, music and fireworks over Rendezvous Bay.

If you are beginning to think about where you might spend New Year's, Aurora's festive calendar is a good place to start.

And for now? Aurora Anguilla is getting ready to reopen the Rendezvous side of the resort on October 16. Tokyo Bay, C Level and Chef’s Table will be among the Aurora favorites returning for the season, bringing the resort back to life on Rendezvous Bay as October gets underway.

In the meantime, even during the resort’s seasonal closure, two Aurora favorites continue to welcome guests and visitors: D Richard’s and the International Golf Course.

Spend Thanksgiving with Little Harbour Estates

Thanksgiving doesn't have to mean chilly weather, a crowded kitchen and the same table you've sat around every year.

This year, imagine gathering the family in Anguilla instead - with warm breezes, turquoise water, a private villa and someone else taking care of Thanksgiving dinner!

Little Harbour Estates is offering Thanksgiving availability at two of their spectacular private villas, Le Bleu and Indigo!

Le Bleu – Little Harbour

Le Bleu sits on the water's edge at Little Harbour, with panoramic views across the Caribbean and plenty of space for larger families and groups to settle in together.

Indigo – Little Harbour

Set within lush tropical gardens and overlooking the turquoise waters of Little Harbour, Indigo is a serene retreat that’s all about peace and privacy.

With its elegant design and thoughtful details, it’s a sanctuary for those craving true tranquility.

For Thanksgiving, the experience can include a special menu created by the Executive Head Chef, with the villa team handling the cooking while guests enjoy the holiday together.

A 24/7 concierge is also available to arrange island experiences, activities and anything else you'd like to add to the week, while the full-service staff takes care of the day-to-day details.

Both villas come with a private chef, full villa staff and concierge service, so the idea is less about planning a Thanksgiving trip and more about simply arriving and enjoying it.

Break with tradition this year and trade the Thanksgiving table at home for a table overlooking Little Harbour.
