Review of Roy's Place

I was in Anguilla in October, 2004 and then again for that Xmas and New Years. What an amazing island! I stayed at the Anguilla hotel, Roy's Place at the bottom of Crocus Hill and it was brilliant.

Superb value for the money - clean, friendly and with air conditioning - what more can an Englishman ask for? Roy's did a great happy hour where the food prices were reduced considerably. The atmosphere was great and Allan the (English) barman was particularly friendly, as was Robert the parrot.

The apartment I stayed in with a friend was extremely spacious. We each had our own bedrooms with huge double beds, en-suite for both of us, a huge lounge area, a balcony all the way round and a fully equipped kitchen. All of this for about $400 for the week at the end of October. From what I can tell, Roy's standard of Anguilla accommodations sits nicely between Lloyd's and Arawak.

Just perfect!
